Christian fellowship through hockey

The MCHA, a non-profit organization, is a Christian-run outreach ministry dedicated to spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ through recreational ice hockey in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. With programs ranging from competitive adult leagues to entry-level instructional programs, the MCHA strives to provide a safe and fun environment for the ice hockey participant and their family and friends.

Registration for Summer 2012 is now open!

The Summer 2012 Season begins May 20th! Most games are on Sunday afternoons/evenings, with some Monday night games. Every team will play 15 games with all teams making the playoffs.

  • 15 games guaranteed (12 regular season and at least 3 post-season) **
  • All teams make playoffs
  • Prime Sunday afternoon and evening slots for most games, no play on holiday weekends
  • All games are 15-minute stop-time periods (unless mercy rule is reached)
  • 5 skill-based divisions (D2, D1, C2, C1, and B)
  • MCHA-specific rules and guidelines to enhance competitive and safe play
  • Online registration with installment payment option

** B-Division will play a shorter 11-game schedule designed to allow college-age players to complete season and playoffs before end of Summer.

Looking to sharpen your hockey skills? MCHA is now offering weekly skills classes for players of all levels.

  • Classes are 7:30pm each Wednesday at The Ice! at Stonebriar Center in Frisco
  • Participants are require to have complete hockey gear
  • Just $15 per class, attend as many or as few as you like

MCHA Wins the "Stump" for 3rd Straight Year!

On Jan 21st & 22nd, the MCHA had the privilege of participating in the annual "Golden Pick" Tommyknocker Pond Hockey Tournament for the 3rd year in a row. This tournament, sponsored by the local Tommyknocker Tavern and Kip's Grill, is held in Creede Colorado, a historic mining town in the Rio Grande National Forest. The 3-on-3 tournament is played on 2 ponds in a beautiful valley surrounded on 3 sides by immaculate high rock formations. The ponds sit at almost 9K ft above sea level, and this year the town received over 3 inches of snow the night of the tournament! [Read more..]
