Christian fellowship through hockey

The MCHA, a non-profit organization, is a Christian-run outreach ministry dedicated to spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ through recreational ice hockey in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. With programs ranging from competitive adult leagues to entry-level instructional programs, the MCHA strives to provide a safe and fun environment for the ice hockey participant and their family and friends.

Registration for Winter 2011-12 is now open!

The Winter 2011-12 Season begins October 16th! Most games are on Sunday afternoons/evenings, with some Monday night games. Every team will play 23 games with all teams making the playoffs.

  • 23 games guaranteed (20 regular season and at least 3 post-season)
  • All teams make playoffs
  • Prime Sunday afternoon and evening slots for most games, no play on holiday weekends
  • All games are 15-minute stop-time periods (unless mercy rule is reached)
  • 4 skill-based divisions (D2, D1, C, and B)
  • MCHA-specific rules and guidelines to enhance competitive and safe play
  • Online registration with installment payment option

On Championship Sunday, October 2nd, 4 MCHA teams raised the Carpenter Cup on The Ice in Grapevine. Congratulations to our champions, and than you to all of the teams and players than made Summer 2011 another successful season for the MCHA!

Looking to sharpen your hockey skills? MCHA is now offering weekly skills classes for players of all levels.

  • Classes are 7:30pm each Wednesday at The Ice! at Stonebriar Center in Frisco
  • Participants are require to have complete hockey gear
  • Just $15 per class, attend as many or as few as you like

In Memoriam: Kevin Buhse

Kevin BuhseKevin Buhse, a long time MCHA player, passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 4th, leaving behind his wife Jodie and 2 boys, Benjamin and Kevin Alexander. The prayers of entire MCHA community are with Kevin's family in their time of loss.

The MCHA is accepting donations towards a memorial fund to ensure that his sons will be able to continue to play hockey, the game that their father taught them to love. Please consider a donation of whatever size you can make. 100% of the donations through this campaign will be forwarded to the fund.
